George Clooney is back on the market after breaking up with his girlfriend of two-years Elisabetta Canalis. The pair have released a joint statement to confirm the news saying, “We are not together any more. It was very difficult and very personal.”

Just a couple of weeks ago 32-year-old Elisabetta talked about how happy she is with the 50-year-old actor, even admitting that she would like to get married. Elisabetta told Italian magazine Chi, “I am a firm believer in marriage, in the future I will be married. But for the time being I am happy as I am. I don’t need anything to confirm how happy I am… I am very happy at the moment thanks to my man, and my fairytale is continuing.”

We’re sure Elisabetta’s comments and the split are in no way connected at all. Because of course George is famous for saying how desperate he is to settle down.well as for Elisabetta we have no comment on that as yet but lets jast wait and see!!
